Childline
Jaintia Hills Development Society is entrusted to implement Childline service since 6th July 2011 in Jowai, playing the role of childline collaborative organization. The organization responding to every call that comes in 1098, 24 hours a day and provides the necessary assistance.
The major objectives is to reach out to the children who are
- Street children and youth living alone on the streets
- Emotionally disturbed child
- Child labours especially in the unorganized sector
- Children who have been abuse
- Chid victims of the flesh trade
- Child addicts, children in conflict with the law
- Children affected by conflicts or disasters
- Children whose families are in crisis
- Children infected and effected with HIV/AIDS
- All children who need care and protection and contact with law.
